LET THE 2012 APOCALYPSE BEGIN!

David Steinberg, Shannon Tweed, Michael Winslow added to line-up!

February 29, 2012 (Winnipeg) — The 2012 Winnipeg Comedy Festival has enlisted even more star power to help ring in the end of the world.

Adding to an already impressive lineup, organizers of the Mayan apocalypse-themed fest — running April 5 to 15, 2012 — have confirmed reality TV vixen Shannon Tweed and stand-up legend (and former Winnipeg resident) David Steinberg will serve as hosts of the WCF's Friday and Saturday evening galas.

Also new to the WCF lineup: Police Academy alum Michael Winslow (aka the "Man of 10,000 Sound Effects"), who'll appear at Thicke's "Telethon"-themed gala. The Festival is also launching a new fundraiser — called "Eat! Drink! Laugh!" — that gives fans the chance to share a dinner date with one of the comics on the WCF lineup.
